Baltimore County homicide detectives responded to the 1400 block of Diffendall Road in Essex on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Detectives were called to the location in reference to a body that had been discovered on the side of the road.
The decomposing body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Currently, the identity of the male is unknown.
As detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, anyone with information pertaining to the case is being asked to call police.
