Essex Fire Reported on South Taylor Avenue

Crews from the Essex Volunteer Fire Company reported a  residential fire in the 400 block of South Taylor Avenue in Essex on Monday evening.

Arriving units found heavy smoke showing from the home with a working kitchen fire on the first floor around 7 p.m.

Two crews remained on scene for about a hour before wrapping up.
