Officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the area of Rossville Boulevard and Franklin Square Drive in Rosedale for a motor vehicle crash that involved a bicyclist.
The accident was reported on Saturday, Aug
26 at approximately 8:08 p.m
Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Crash Team determined the bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Rossville Boulevard.
When she attempted to cross the roadway, a vehicle traveling westbound struck the bicyclist in the westbound lane.
The driver did not remain at the scene. The bicyclist, 46-year-old Aimee K. Whiteford, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on their investigation, detectives with the Baltimore County Crash Team have determined the suspect vehicle involved is a black 2012 or 2013 Toyota Highlander with damage to its right side-view mirror, fog light assembly and headlamp.
