Blue Water Baltimore announced that its team collected tidal water samples around the area. Here is their report:
“With restrictions surrounding the Key Bridge lifted, we are able to anchor off of Fort Carroll and begin sample collection for the 2024 season. Results from this week’s bacteria samples are listed below. Check out baltimorewaterwatch.org to see data on all of the stations monitored throughout Baltimore’s watersheds.”

“MPN stands for Most Probable Number and is a statistical method used to estimate bacteria levels present in water. According to the state of Maryland, it’s unsafe to come into contact with surface waters with enterococcus levels greater than 130 MPN/100 mL.”
