Port Announces Dali to be Released and Return of Cruises

Port Director Jonathan Daniels, Baltimore District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Col. Estee Pinchasin, and U.S. Coast Guard Captain David O’Connell briefed the Baltimore Port Alliance this morning on the latest to refloat the Dali and open the channel wider.

The Dali is expected to be refloated early next week and the channel will be expanded to 400 feet of horizontal clearance. The full 700-foot wide, 50-foot deep channel is still expected to be ready by the end of May.

Port of Baltimore’s cargo and cruise customers are currently returning and expressing desires to grow their Baltimore business

The Port also announced that The Carnival Pride will embark its first cruise from Baltimore on May 26 for an e 14-day cruise to Greenland and Canada.
