Perry Hall Middle School has announced that Justin Benjamin has been named the new principal of their school. Benjamin takes over after serving as an assistant principal at Cockeysville Middle School since 2013.
He is succeeding Lisa Perry, who announced she was retiring after serving as Perry Hall Middle principal for eight years.
According to his X (formerly Twitter) page, Justin Benjamin is a husband and father of three kids. He released the following letter to the Perry Hall Middle School family:
“I am pleased to share with you that, effective July 1, 2024, I will be serving as the Principal of Perry Hall Middle School. I am excited to have the opportunity to partner with you in providing a safe, rigorous learning environment for all our students. I am committed to building positive relationships with you as we work together to help our students achieve their highest potential.
“My career with Baltimore County Public Schools began in 2006 as a Social Studies teacher at Lansdowne Middle School. It was here that I discovered my passion for working with middle school students. I eventually moved into the role of Social Studies department chair where I worked closely with teachers to improve instruction and student achievement.
“During this time, I earned my master’s degree from Loyola University in Educational Leadership. In 2013, I became an Assistant Principal at Cockeysville Middle School and have held that position since then. I am incredibly proud of my work and accomplishments at Cockeysville, and these experiences have prepared me for this next phase of leadership.
“I am deeply committed to public education, and I will work to move students and staff forward. I am dedicated to working alongside our amazing teachers and staff to serve this great community. I look forward to meeting students and families; more information will follow about Meet-and-Greet opportunities so we can learn more about each other. I am very excited about our collaboration to ensure the success of all at Perry Hall Middle School.”
