BCPS Fifth District School Board Member Julie Henn announced that Perry Hall High principal Craig Reed is leaving the school to take a leadership position with BCPS. Reed has been at the school since 2019 after arriving as principal from Patapsco High School in Dundalk.

“I’ve always believed that the best opportunities should be afforded to the best individuals. So I was excited to learn that Perry Hall High School Principal Craig Reed was selected as BCPS’ Executive Director for High Schools,” Henn said on social media.

“Perry Hall has been blessed by Principal Reed’s leadership and we remain fortunate that he will not be far. I have appreciated his communication and partnership both with me and with Baltimore County Councilman David Marks and am excited to work with Craig in his new role.”

Councilman David Marks also thanked Reed for his service to Perry Hall High School.

“Since my first meeting with Perry Hall High School principal Craig Reed in 2019, I have had an excellent relationship based on communication and access. He has returned every phone call, every email, and always made this elected official feel welcomed at Perry Hall High School,” Marks said.

“Perry Hall High School is my alma mater, and I particularly appreciate the level of engagement he has shown toward me. I wish I had that everywhere!

“Best wishes to Mr. Reed as he leaves the helm of Perry Hall High School, and I look forward to working with his successor.”
