Perry Hall Soccer Coach Terry Nolan Has Died

It was announced that long-time Perry Hall Soccer Coach Terry Nolan has died at the age of 71.

He was known in the community for his volunteer service with Perry Hall/ White Marsh recreational soccer league and the Baltimore Union Soccer.

A statement was released about his passing on the Baltimore Union Facebook page.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend, Terry Nolan, who passed away on May 3rd after a long battle with cancer.

Terry was not just a figure within our community; he was its very heartbeat. For 31 years, he stood as a guiding light, leading the Perry Hall White Marsh recreational soccer league and the Baltimore Union Soccer Club with passion and unwavering commitment. Beyond wins and losses on the field, Terry efforts helped in shaping the lives of countless young athletes, instilling in them the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

His dedication to the soccer program lasted decades, and his impact is immeasurable. Terry was always there to help, rain or shine, day or night, you could always count on Terry. Terry was a generous, gentle man, and was as kind as a person could be. May his memory be eternal!” – Salim Barrouk, President of White Marsh Recreation Council.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Terry’s life on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2-4 PM or 7-9 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home in Nottingham (9705 Belair Road).
A memorial service will be held at the same location starting at 4 PM. Terry’s family encourages friends from the soccer community to honor Terry’s love for coaching by attending the 7-9 PM session and wearing their uniform or team gear.
