Today, I attended the Weis Store #206 in Nottingham/Overlea to talk about the importance of Maryland HB0288- AED Program (Joe Sheya Act) in Grocery Stores and Restaurants. I was happy to join Delegate Bonnie Cullison (bill sponsor), Delegate Carl Jackson, Carol McDermott Sheya (who advocated for this bill after losing her husband, Joe Sheya), Baltimore County Fire/EMS, Philips North America Company (HeartStart AED Solutions), and Cardio Partners.
A big thanks to Weis Markets for making sure each of their stores will be equipped with these life saving AEDs and trained staff with CPR/lifesaving skills.
