On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Board of Education unanimously approved a 3-hour early release day for schools and offices on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Elementary school conferences, currently scheduled for November 22 and/or November 23, 2022, will be adjusted as follows:

Preschool-3 and Pre-K Conference Day and Elementary Conference Day – No Preschool-3 or Pre-K sessions and Schools Closed for Elementary Students
Middle and High Schools in Session Full Day – Teachers on Duty

Thanksgiving Holiday Begins at the End of the School Day; Schools and Offices close 3 hours early
This planned early dismissal day does not impact the 5 inclement weather closure days built into the 2022-23 school year calendar.
As a reminder, the Board of Education also approved a plan on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, to close all Baltimore County public schools and offices three hours early on December 22, 2022, March 17, 2023, and May 19, 2023.
This adjustment is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools’ ongoing efforts to provide staff and students additional opportunities to rest and recharge.
