Baltimore County Police announced that Officer Long has been named the Baltimore County Public Schools’ High School Resource Officer of the Year.
He is a SRO at Rosedale Alternative School and was described by school staff as “honest, fair, non-judgmental and supportive.”
“His calm demeanor and ability to connect and work with students allows students to see him as “Good People.” Described as a dedicated staff member, who is always smiling and willing to help, Officer Long holds students accountable but also engages in lessons, games and lunchtime conversations,” said a statement from Baltimore County Police.
