CCBC Essex Women’s Basketball Back in NJCAA Final Four

The CCBC Essex Knights Women’s Basketball team is back in the NJCAA National Championship Division II Tournament Final Four after defeating Iowa Wester Reivers 70-47 on Wednesday in Joplin, Missouri. This is their third straight trip to the Woman’s NJCAA Final Four.

According to the CCBC Essex Athletics Twitter page, it was a balance attack as Deb Okechukwu led the teams with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Alana Powell also had 12 points and seven rebounds. Heather Middleton and Ashley Dickey both had 11 points.

The Lady Knights started off the tournament as a fourth seed and opened with a first-round bye. They defeated PIMA on March 19.

CCBC Essex will now play the winner of tonight’s game between 1 Johnson City and 9 Lincoln Land.
