Dundalk Football Starts Season With 35-7 Win

The Dundalk High School football team was back in a familiar position on Friday night- the win column. The Owls improved to 1-0 after a convincing 35-7 home victory over Century out of Carroll County.

According to the Dundalk Football Twitter page, Owl was lead by Jordan Fiorenza who had 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Owl Quarterback Ja Bonner threw two touchdown passes. The Dundalk defense was led by Eric Coates’ 40-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Dundalk is looking to return to their 2021 form when they finish the regular the season undefeated.

The Owls made it to the 4A/3A Football State Title Game before losing a heartbreaker to Mervo from Baltimore City 22 to 13.

The Owls will look to go 2-0 next week as they host Parkville next Friday at 7 p.m.

This was the first win for new Dundalk head coach Tom Abel.
