Summer Basketball League to be Held at Overlea High

The 2024 Summer Basketball League will kick-off on Sunday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Overlea High School Gymnasium.
The event is free and open to the public. It will have games featuring talented athletes from County middle and high schools.
This event is through the advocacy and support of Delegate Carl Jackson and community leaders.
“I was proud, with the backing of community leaders, to advocate for the Baltimore County Summer Youth Basketball League and I cannot express enough how thankful I am for the County’s investment in this important program,” Jackson said in a statement.
“Providing fun alternatives to the streets is of the utmost importance for our young people and leagues like this Summer Youth Basketball League will offer not only a safe and productive outlet for young kids’ energy and promote physical fitness, but will also foster teamwork and discipline, and instill essential values that will serve these kids well in all aspects of life. If we don’t invest in our young people, the streets will!”
