A Baltimore County judge has sentenced Nicole Johnson to life in prison, with all but 50 years suspended.
Johnson was arrested in July 2021 during an Essex traffic stop by Baltimore County police at the intersection of Eastern Boulevard near Wagners Lane.
Officers on the scene discovered the decomposing bodies of her 7-year-old niece and 5-year-old nephew in the trunk of her vehicle.
Johnson also received five years-probation and was ordered to obtain mental health treatment.
The judge also prohibited Johnson from having any contact with children under the age of 18.
