This is the fourth location for Geresbeck’s, which is a new concept based on top quality local meats and seafood. Geresbeck’s expanded to Baltimore County years ago at their iconic location on Eastern Avenue in Middle River. A family-owned and operated business,

Geresbeck’s has won many accolades over the years, most recently winning Best Local Grocery Store, Best Local Produce, Best Local Seafood, and Best Scratch Bakery. The Grand Opening event in Kingsville will include free oysters shucked in the parking lot, sampling, and special deals all day.

Their local family-owned business began in 1971 when their owner and founder, Carl Greeley opened his first store in Pasadena. Foodland turned into Carl’s Bi-Rite and later blossomed into multiple Box N’ Save markets in Baltimore. Carl was the first grocer in town to bring this “new” concept to the area. The “box”-style stores continued to evolve into larger-scale supermarkets, which eventually became Geresbeck’s Food Markets.

Now, 50 years later, their three local markets have been a staple in Baltimore. For three generations, they have been known as the place to go for not only perishables but also all the best Maryland specialties.

Their deli departments attract locals from far and wide to stock up on homemade Maryland favorites like their famous crab cakes, jumbo shrimp salad, and crab pretzels. Almost all of their deli salads are homemade daily without preservatives.  Their famous chocolate eclairs can be found not only in their stores but statewide in restaurants and local establishments. Geresbeck’s supports many local farmers from Westminster to the eastern shore by purchasing a vast majority of their fruits and vegetables for their produce departments. Fresh local seafood at unbeatable prices, as well as butcher cut fresh meats.
