The community of Perry Hall is turning 250 years old in 2025. Councilman David Marks said a celebration is planned for next year.
“Perry Hall is 250 years old in 2025! A group of community leaders is planning a series or events to celebrate. Please join our Facebook page to stay informed,” Mark said about the celebration.
The Facebook group posted photos from the 2000 when Perry Hall celebrated its 225th birthday. They could use some of those types of ideas and more for the 250th celebration in 2025
“That year (2000), the Perry Hall community enjoyed a summer of free summer concerts, with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as the big event at Perry Hall Middle School. Pictured at one concert is David Marks, then president of the Perry Hall Improvement Association,” said a statement from the Perry Hall 250th Facebook group.
“Perry Hall leaders buried a time capsule in the courtyard at Perry Hall Middle School. Seen pictured are then-Councilman Vince Gardina and then-Delegates Al Redmer and Jim Ports. The time capsule includes artifacts from local schools and newspapers about life at the turn of the century.”
