WBAL-TV reports that their former education reporter Dr. Tim Tooten has passed away.
Tooten has served as a reporter for WBAL from 1988 until his retirement in 2023.
While he was known as a TV reporter, Tooten also had ties to the eastern Baltimore County area as a resident and was the pastor as at Harvest Christian Ministries in Fullerton. Tooten started the evangelistic ministry in 2006.
He was the favorite reporter of many schools kids as he was the tv personality that would read off the school closing during snow storms.
Tooten was also an author and a professor at Loyola University.
