Marks Gives Update on a School Overcrowding in Perry Hall

The following statement was released by Councilman David Marks about the status of school in the Perry Hall Area

Next week, the last of the trailers will be removed from Perry Hall Middle School.

It’s another sign that overcrowding has been eliminated from this school with the construction of Nottingham Middle School and the expansion of Pine Grove Middle School.

The new principal, Justin Benjamin, has been a breath of fresh air.  Lots of good things happening!

Thank you to Julie Henn, Baltimore County Board of Education, to our County Executives and state legislators and parents who have supported new schools and improvements.

(As an aside, there are many schools where the decision has been made to retain trailers even when they are undercapacity, such as Chapel Hill Elementary School.  Perry Hall High School’s enrollment is barely above 100 percent and projected to fall).
