The Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities has named Hannah Mitchell, Grade 10 student at Perry Hall High School, as its 2024 Student of the Year.
Mitchell is described in the event program as one who “embraces challenges with an indomitable spirit and never fails to brighten a room with cheer while striving to maintain her sterling record of academic achievement.”
Mitchell was honored at an award ceremony was held on November 19 at Oregon Ridge Lodge.
Maria Powers, a paraeducator at Franklin High School, was also honored BCPS 2024 Educator of the Year.
