Dundalk wins the regional title in boys lacrosse as they defeated Perry Hall at home 13-6 in the 4A North Regional Finals.
The team is coached by Dundalk High Alum Hassan Davis.
“It was a goal of mine to turn Dundalk into a championship contending team,” Davis told Eastcountytimes.com.
“The last championship Dundalk has won was before modern time.”
The Owls were led by the superstar duo of Kenny Shifflett’s four goals and Daniel Mitchell’s five goals.

Marquell Perry had two goals and two assists in the win.
Kenny , Daniel, and Marquell played lights out. Those guys show up everyday and put on their hard hats ready to attack every situation. Just like they did in todays game,” Davis added.
Dundalk jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead with goals by Shifflett and Mitchell.
Perry Hall sophmore goalie Grayson Pearce had 18 saves for his team but the offense from the Owls was too much as Dundalk outshot Perry Hall 52-14.

Perry Hall tried to claw back as Nat Schattal had five goals for his team.

Schattal and John McDonald scored back-to-back goals to cut the Dundalk lead to 6-3 in the first half.
But Dundalk went on a 5-0 run.
Perry Hall couldn’t get its offense going as Dundalk’s defense was strong as Jose Valdez and Devin Field caused many turnovers for the Owls.

The Gators offense finally got back on the score board in the second half when Schattal and Lucas Ray combined to score three straight goals.
That cut the deficit to 11-6 but Mitchell and Chase Galvan put the game away with fourth quarter goals.

Updated- Dundalk advances to the 4A State Quarterfinals. The Owls are now ranked sixth and will play at Urbana in the Frederick area.
