Patriot head coach Tyler Clough said despite the loss, he saw a many positives in the game and was proud that his players battled until the end.
“We talk every week about how our goal is to get in the 4th quarter with a chance to win and we did that. We ran out of time at the end but I couldn’t be prouder in the way my guys played the entire game,” Clough said.
“I want to specifically highlight Ryker Harmon #78, Brandon Diggs #52 and Scott Rossi #53 on the offensive line for how outstanding the played.”
Overlea starts off 1-0 and will host Franklin next week. Patapsco hosts Parkville on Friday.
“Parkville coming in next week will be another tough opponent as they’re a 4A school. They like to run the spread and throw the ball a lot so we will have to prepare to stop that,” Clough added.
“Offensively we have to continue to review our plays and execute at a high level.”
