Parkville is back in the Regional Finals after beating Perry Hall 8-1 in the 4A Regional Semifinals baseball playoffs on Saturday. This was a rematch of a regular season game two weeks earlier that Parkville also won 6-2.
Parkville was led by pitcher Teddy Pineda, who pitched the full seven innings and allowed only one run.
Pineda also had seven strikeouts in the morning game.

Parkville coach Joe Daddura said he needed a big game from his starter and Pineda didn’t disappoint.
“He has been a bulldog for us all year. He has provided us with that senior leadership,” Daddura told Eastcountytimes.com after the game.
The Knights was led by Nathan Magness’ three hits and two runs by Matthew Rose. Magness doubled in Rose in the bottom of the third run for Parkville.
Magness had two doubles and three RBI in the game. Aiden Collins and Jeffrey Samborski scored on Magness’ other double in the second.
Entering the bottom of the sixth, Parkville was leading 5-1, but got back-to-back homeruns by
Weston Brine and Pineda to put the game away.

“They have great pitchers over there. But I knew if we kept battling, we would get the big hits,” Daddura added.
Pitcher Gavin Rayner went 4 1/3 with six strikeouts for Gators.

Perry Hall had some opportunities but only got one run in the game.
Pierce Doyle and Zach Lang had hits and Shane Gibson walked to load the base in the second but they only scored one run.
The Gators had runners on first and second after Cameron Cooke and Rayner hits but Pineda got out of that jam in the fifth inning.

The Knights got a little revenge as they were defeated by the Gators in the 2024 Regional Finals. Now they will host Kenwood in the 2025 Regional Finals on Tuesday.
Daddura is looking forward to the regional finals.
“I told my players the days go by slow but years go by fast,” he said. “They should enjoy this.”
