Soccer Season Ends As 3 Local Teams Fall in State Semifinals

The soccer season is over in eastern Baltimore County as three local soccer high school teams (Perry Hall Boys, Perry Hall Girls and Sparrows Point Girls) lost in the state semifinal games off their respective classifications.

Sparrows Point Girls Soccer was looking to win back-to-back state titles and made it to the 2A State Semifinals. The team had an opening round win over Eastern Tech and defeat Patapsco and Lack to advance to the state semifinals. There season ended with a 1-0 loss to CM Wright on Saturday.

Perry Hall Boys Soccer started off the playoffs with a home win over Parkville, a road win over Kenwood and a win over Crafton. The Gators were defeated by Richard Montgomery High School 4-3 on Friday.

Perry Hall Girls Soccer was looking for a trip back to the 4A State Title game. They started off with dominant home wins over Kenwood and Parkville. The Gators upset the top-seeded Roosevelt High in the state quarterfinals, but Crafton Girls Soccer got revenge their boys soccer team, who lost to Perry Hall, by defeating Perry Hall Girls 2-1.
