The Dundalk Heritage Fair Association announced that carnival rides are returning back to the popular Independence Day weekend event in Dundalk.

The fair is scheduled from Friday, June 30 to Sunday, July 2, but will open a day earlier for rides.

“RIDES WILL BE BACK FOR THE 2023 FAIR. Rides will run from Thursday, June 29th through July 2nd. Thursday will be a preview night for the rides from 5 to 11 p.m,” said a statement on the Fair’s Facebook page .

“The Dundalk Heritage Festival will run from June 30th through July 2nd. Stay tuned for some more announcements soon. We look forward to seeing you all at the fair.”

This is the first year that the fair will offer carnival rides since 2019. The event was canceled in 2020 as a result of COVID and did not have any rides in 2021 or 2022.

This is the 46th Heritage Fair and it takes place in Old Dundalk at Playfield Street and Dunmanway.
