Dundalk Man Convicted for Sexual Abuse

Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott D. Shellenberger announced the conviction of Melvin Joseph Tucker, 34, of Dundalk for the sexual abuse of a seven year old boy in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.

Tucker was a baseball coach at Arbutus Rec. Council.

Shellenberger offered his thanks to the police and to Lisa Dever for the excellent job they did to pursue the prosecution and conviction of Melvin Tucker.

The case was tried before a jury and resulted in convictions for Sexual Abuse of a Minor, Second Degree Rape and Third Degree Sexual Offense. Tucker faces a minimum of fifteen years in prison and up to life imprisonment for the offenses. Judge Garret Glennon has not set a sentencing date.
