Back River Restoration Committee is hosting Earth Day Cleanups on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20.
The first cleanup is a partnership with BGE on Friday, April 19 in Essex.
Volunteers will meet in the back parking lot of Cox’s Point Park, 820 Riverside Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Community and student service hours are available.
The Saturday cleanup will take place in Sparrows Point. Volunteers will meet at either Tiki Lee’s, 4309 Morse Lane or at Dock of the Bay, 9025 Cuckhold Road. Pick up supplies and get directed to an assigned cleanup area.
BRRC will provide gloves, bags, pickers, buckets, etc for both events for all volunteers. Dress appropriately. Water shoes are recommended but not required.
An after party with light refreshments
will be held at Robbies Bar and Grill, 2630 Sparrows Point Road on Saturday, April 19 from 1 to 3 p.m.
