Campbell Boulevard Bridge to Replace Mohrs Lane Bridge

-The end of Mohrs Lane is now closed as the bridge was demolished in 2011-

Mohrs Lane was a one-lane bridge over the train tracks in White Marsh that was closed in 2007 because of structural deterioration. The bridge was demolished by CSX in 2011. The 95-year-old bridge connected Philadelphia Road to Pulaski Highway in Middle River.

A new bridge is planned that would connect Campbell Boulevard at Philadelphia Road to Pulaski Highway. The road formerly known as Mohrs Lane (behind the Home Depot shopping center) has been renamed Campbell Boulevard and it has been extended to White Marsh Boulevard (Route 43).

Baltimore County released a statement on its website that the project is set to be advertised for construction January 2024, but Councilman David Marks said it is still too early to set a timetable.

According to Marks, the design is 99 percent finished and Baltimore County is still working on property acquisition. Three of the nine properties have been cleared by the Office of Real Estate.

“This is a very complex project that has taken so long because of wetlands issues and negotiations with CSX,” Marks told Eastcountytimes.com “I did not represent this area until December, but I am doing all I can to move it along.”
