Student Accident Causes Eastern Tech Closure

Eastern Tech High School announced that one of its students was involved in a minor traffic accident outside the Essex school on Thursday morning.

A transformer was struck that resulted in a power outage.

The student was checked out by the school nurse and no injuries were reported.

The power outage forced the school to close at 9:45 a.m. All afternoon and evening activities at Eastern Technical High School are cancelled for Thursday, October 20.
