Local High School Teams Go 3-6 in Openers

It was not a great weekend for local schools in eastern Baltimore County as the area went 3-6 on the opening weekend. Patapsco, Dundalk and Perry Hall are the only winners.

Patapsco 18 Towson 12
The Patriots started off the season 1-0 after a 18-12 overtime win over Towson at home. Patapsco will host Lansdowne next Friday at home at 4 p.m.

Linganore 50 Kenwood 20
The Bluebirds started off their season at home but fell to Frederick County power Linganore on Friday night. Kenwood will host Woodlawn next Friday.

Hereford 36 Eastern Tech 0
The Mavericks were shutout at home against northern Baltimore County powerhouse Hereford in Week 1. Eastern Tech will play at Loch Raven this Friday.

Dundalk 35 Century 7
The Owls were back in mid-season form as the state finalists from 2022 started the season with a win over Century. Dundalk will look to go to 2-0 against Parkville at home this Friday.

Woodlawn 12 Parkville 6
The Knights kicked off their season at home but were upset by Woodlawn. It won’t get an easier at Parkville travels to Dundalk next Friday at 7 p.m.

Perry Hall 42 Lansdowne 0
The Gators start the season on the right foot and destroyed Lansdowne on the road. Perry Hall looks to go 2-0 on the road against Towson next Saturday.

Harford Tech 35 Sparrows Point 0
The Pointers started off the season with a shutout loss at home to Harford Tech. Sparrows Point will host western Tech next week.

Pikesville 44 Overlea 22
The Falcons started off the year with a home loss to Pikesville. Overlea will play again at home against New Town this week.

Edgewood 15 Mount Carmel 0
Mount Carmel fell to 0-2 after a home loss to Edgewood on Friday.
