Area Schools Go 6-2 in Week Two

There was much more winning in Week Two as local schools went 6-2 (or 5-1 since Dundalk played Parkville) With Dundalk and Perry Hall’s wins, it sets up a big showdown this Friday. Patapsco is also 2-0. Eastern Tech, Kenwood and Sparrows Point bounced back with wins. Overlea lost, Mount Carmel was off and Chesapeake’s score was not recorded.

Kenwood 20 Woodlawn 14 OT
The Bluebirds pick up their first win of the season with a 20 to 14 over Woodlawn in overtime.

Patapsco 28 Lansdowne 8
The Patriots are off to another 2-0 start for second year in a row after a convincing win over Lansdowne.
at home. According to the Patapsco Patriot football Twitter page, running back Noah Cornish lead Patapsco with 140 rushing yards three touchdowns. The defense was led by Kevin Batchelor Jr. three sacks and Errol Johnson’s five tackles.

Dundalk 35 Parkville 7
The Owl continued their regular season dominance as they haven’t lost a regular season game since 2019 after beating Parkville at home. Owl running back Jordan Fiorenza had over 200 yards rushing and four touchdowns. The Knights fall to 0-2 on the season. Dundalk is 2-0 and ready for a big road test at Perry Hall Friday night.

Perry Hall 46 Towson 0
The Gators are off to a 2-0 after a win at Towson on Saturday. Perry Hall won both road games by a total of 86 to 0. The Gators will have a true home challenge this week with Dundalk.

Sparrows Point 20 Western Tech 0
The Pointers are now 1-1 on the year as they defeated Western Tech at home 20 to 0.


Eastern Tech
14 Loch Raven 12
The Mavericks bounced back after a Week 1 loss to Hereford with a road win against Loch Raven.

New Town 36 Overlea 0
The Falcons fell to 0-2 after a loss to New Town. It won’t get any easier as Overlea will play state finals runner-up Milford Mill this week.
