Police Report Bulgary Suspects Shot by Homeowner in Dundalk

The Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a double shooting after an attempted burglary.

The shooting was reported on Thursday, Nov. 9 around 4:25 a.m.

Officers responded to the 4200 block of Lynhurst Road in Dundalk for reports of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located an adult male who had sustained a gunshot wound.

While investigating, officers were made aware of another adult male who had fled and was located in a wooded area.

That suspect had also sustained a gunshot wound. Both suspects were transported to an area hospital.

Detectives have determined this incident stemmed from an attempted burglary. The suspects were attempting to gain access to the homeowner’s shed when they were confronted.

During that confrontation, one of the suspects displayed a firearm, and the homeowner discharged his firearm, striking two suspects.

Charges are pending against the burglary suspects, two of whom suffered gunshot wounds. The Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office will not be pursuing charges against the homeowner.
