The Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company announced their Santa rides for the Dundalk community. The ride starts tonight.
Wednesday 12/6: West Inverness/ABC Streets and Church Rd/Harold Rd/Scholar Rd
Tuesday 12/12: Rosewald Beach/Bayside Dr/ Gray Haven/Eddlynch
Friday 12/15: Oakleigh Beach and Waterview Ave.
Sunday 12/17: Charlesmont
The schedule and time are subject to change based on calls for service, weather and staffing. If you live on a small street/court or dead end please come to the nearest corner to see Santa and the fire engine. Weekdays will begin at approximately 6 p.m and weekend rides start at 5 p.m.
WMVFC released a statement on why this year’s rides are a smaller schedule compared to previous seasons.
“Due to staffing challenges and Santa’s increased workload, this year will will only be scheduling to bring Santa to our first due area. A general breakdown will be provided below.
The remaining Dundalk area will be completed if time and staffing permits but we do not want to raise unrealistic expectations.”
