Essex-Middle River Gateway Sign Returns

The Essex Community Development Corporation (ECDC) announced that The Essex Middle River Gateway sign has been reinstalled after it was damaged over a year ago.

“We are THRILLED to share that the Essex Middle River Gateway sign at Eastern Ave./Old Eastern Ave. was replaced today after a car struck the sign in the spring of 2022. Thankfully, we were able to work through the driver’s insurance to cover the cost of getting the frame fixed and a new sign constructed and installed,” said a statement from ECDC.

“THANK YOU to Smith’s Lawncare & Landscaping and Image360 White Marsh-Middle River for working with Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce and Essex Community Development Corporation (formerly the Essex Development Initiative) over the past several months to make this a reality. It’s nice to see such a bright and vibrant sign welcoming all to this great community!”
