Eastside Public Meeting on Possible County Council Expansion

The County Council created an advisory body back in 2023 to conduct research and make recommendations on the size and structure of the Baltimore County Council and related matters. There are currently seven districts and seven council members (pictured)

Three public meetings will be held and the east side meeting is set for the White Marsh Library on Thursday, March 14 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The public is invited to provide in-person testimony at the Public Hearing.

Virtual testimony will not be accepted. Anyone wishing to testify shall register in advance using our online Speaker Registration Form (Registration Form will be available on the day of the Public Hearing).

Online speaker registration will commence on the date of the Public Hearing at 9 a.m. and will close at 4 p.m.  In-person speaker registration will commence at 5 p.m. at White Marsh Public Library and close at 5:30 p.m.

Speakers will be called in the order they registered. Each person testifying at the Public Hearing will be given three minutes to speak, unless otherwise stated by the Chair or Vice Chair

Individuals who do not wish to speak at the Public Hearing but want to convey their thoughts are encouraged to provide written testimony or comment by email or traditional mail.
