Baltimore County gave an update on the construction of the new Middle River Recreation Activity Center.  The new $10 million facility will open alongside Glenmar Elementary School.

“Construction is buzzing at the Middle River Recreation Activity Center, and we’re thrilled to share the progress with you! Our team and the construction crew is hard at work bringing this concept to life, aimed at enhancing recreational opportunities for our community,” said a statement from Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.

Delegate Ryan Nawrocki is looking forward to the opening of the new building.

This will be a great enhancement to Middle River. The east side of the county needs more opportunities for children and communities to engage in recreational activities,” Nawrocki said.

Councilman David Marks agrees that this project is beneficial to the community.

“This will be an incredible resource for Middle River,” Marks added.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new center is schedule for late summer.
