–The current intersection of Cross Circle and Honeygo Boulevard-
Councilman David Marks gave an update on the proposed traffic circle at the intersection of Cross Circle and Honeygo Boulevard in Perry Hall.
The study began in July 2022 and according to federal regulations, the intersection does not meet the requirements for a traffic signal.
The traffic circle will feature a dual roundabout to help with future growth.
A community meeting was held and many residents are concerned about the county’s proposal of restricting access through Honeygo/Cross and detouring traffic during the construction.
Marks said those detour plans have been scraped.
“I agreed with many local residents that this plan was entirely too disruptive. The county will instead focus on the construction of the circle, scheduled for the spring of 2025,” Marks explained.
