The Perry Hall High Softball team advances to the 4A State Finals as they defeated Montgomery Blair 12 to 2 on Friday. Rileigh Kitchin hit a homerun in the win. This is their first trip to the state semifinals since 2003.
The Gators will now play Tuesday night. Their opponent is still not set as there are three other state quarterfinal games on Monday. Perry Hall was the only team to play their game Friday between the rainstorms.
The team started off the playoffs with a 22 to 0 win over Western and later defeated Dundalk 2 to 0 in the 4A North Region.
Eastern Tech Softball Falls
The Mavericks season came to an end as they lost at Walkersville 8 to 0 in the 2A State Quarterfinals.
Two Local Teams Lose in Baseball State Quarters
Sparrows Point and Perry Hall baseball team both lost in the MPSSAA state quarterfinals
The Pointers lost to Patuxent 2 to 1 in the 2A State Quarterfinals.
The Gators baseball team lost in the 4A State Quarters to Crofton 8 to 5 on Friday.
Perry Hall Boys Lacrosse Ends
Perry Hall Boys Lacrosse team made it to the 4A State Semifinals but were defeated by Broadneck 20 to 2.
