Crandell Opposes Amendments to Weaken Baltimore County IG

Fourth District Baltimore County Councilman Julian Jones plans to introduce amendments that would weaken the ability of Baltimore County’s Inspector General Kelly Madigan.

Seventh District Councilman Todd Crandell said he plans to vote against those amendments. He released a statement on social media on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow at the Council’s Work Session, we will discuss proposed amendments to legislation regarding the Inspector General’s office. I want to be clear – I voted years ago to create the office then resisted proposed changes to it two years ago and will not support any current amendments that could weaken the IG’s authority to keep government honest.”
