Nawrocki/Szeliga Share 2024 Session Highlights and Concerns

-The following article was submitted by District 7A Delegates Ryan Nawrocki and Kathy Szeliga about their highlights and concerns for the 2024 Legislative Session-

The delegates eagerly anticipate the beginning of the 2024 legislative session, which lasts for 90 days until Sine Die on April 8th. The delegates look forward to introducing a package of bills during the session. These bills include legislation combating crime, protecting and supporting women, and addressing local issues in Baltimore County.

The delegates will also introduce legislative bond bills to support local funding projects for schools, community associations, and volunteer fire companies.

Delegate Szeliga commented on the 2024 session, saying, “We are committed to keeping your communities safe and protecting your tax dollars.”

Delegate Nawrocki also said, “The 2024 session will be clouded by the looming budget and potential tax increases that will plague Marylanders who are suffering from rising inflation.”

The delegates look forward to the next 90 days and citizens are encouraged to follow the session and be involved by contacting their offices.
