Councilman Marks: “County to Preserve Richardson Farms””

Councilman David Marks released a statement about the long-term future of Richardson Farms in White Marsh.

Iam delighted to share the news that Baltimore County is taking steps to purchase development rights easements on 70 acres owned by Richardson Farms east of Ebenezer Road and Earls Beach Road. This will preserve a large area of farmland from development.

Thank you to County Executive Olszewski’s administration for initiating this plan, which will come before the County Council later this month. Altogether, more than 250 acres are identified for preservation.

My thanks also to Les Richardson and the entire Richardson family for their longtime commitment to agriculture in Baltimore County.

My thanks also to our state partners for their support, including Senator Jennings and Delegates Nawrocki and Szeliga.
