Members of the Essex Volunteer Fire Company reported its crews responded to the 2500 block of Island View Road in Essex for a garage fire. The fire was reported on Sunday, March 10 around 7:25 p.m.
First arriving units found an approximate 30×30 detached garage with fire showing impinging on two boats. Harsh wind conditions resulted in more of a challenge for firefighters.
Crews were able to place the fire under control in under 30 minutes and no injuries were reported.
