One Victim Identified in Dundalk Fatal Fire

One of the victims has been identified. She is Beth Susan Gibson, 66, of the 8500 block of Kavanagh Road, 21222. The second victim has not yet been identified.

A third person who escaped by jumping from a window was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Fire crews were dispatched at 6:22 a.m. to the 8500 block of Kavanagh road for a dwelling fire with rescue. Baltimore County Police, who arrived first on the scene, reported that people were trapped in the burning home.

Firefighters braved heavy fire and entered the building, where they found one victim on the stairway and a second in an upstairs room. Both were deceased at the scene.

Four people lived at this home. One resident left for work before the fire started.

Red Cross is assisting the two displaced residents.

Two dogs died in this fire.

The fire was placed under control at 7:41 a.m.

An investigation by Baltimore County Police fire investigators is ongoing.
