Baltimore County Police reported a police involved shooting in Dundalk on Sunday.
The incident take place in the 8200 block of North Boundary Road behind Patapsco High School around 7:30 p.m.
Police said they responded after a subject was “experiencing a mental health episode.”
Officers made contact with the armed subject to the rear of the residence.
During this encounter, the officer responded to the actions of the armed subject, resulting in one officer discharging their firearm striking the adult male.
The subject was transported to a local hospital and was later pronounced deceased.
A firearm was recovered from the scene.
The Independent Investigations Division with the Office of the Attorney General is investigating this matter.
