A public workshop and hearing on the airport’s Airport Noise Zone (ANZ) will be held on Wednesday, March 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hangar 4, Martin State Airport
The ANZ is required under the Maryland Environmental Noise Act and helps guide land use and development around the airport while addressing aircraft noise impacts on surrounding communities.
The noise zone is based on modeled aircraft noise levels using day-night average sound levels and projected flight activity.
The meeting will allow residents and stakeholders to learn about the proposed updates, ask questions, and submit comments as the state updates the noise zone to reflect current conditions and future projections.
