The Dundalk Owls are trying make it back to the 4A/3A football title game and started off the playoffs with a 34 to 0 win over Dulaney. The Owls lost to Mervo in that title game in 2021.

Dundalk will not have to worry about Mervo this year because they were upset by Perry Hall 7 to 6 on Friday.

Dundalk is the number one seed and Perry Hall is the second seed in this region but all teams are reseeded statewide in the state quarterfinals.

Dundalk is now reseeded second and will host Blake from Silver Spring.

The Gators are seeded 7th and will play at the overall one seed Urbana.

If Dundalk and Perry Hall can win their next two games, they would meet in a rematch for the state title.

Sparrows Point was the only other local team to win a playoff game but their season ended in the second round with a loss at Largo 42 to 21.
