Last week, the Board narrowly approved (6-5) my motion to amend the FY2025 State Capital Request to seek planning approval for additional high school seats in the northeast and to allow flexibility in project recommendations.
The motion also asked the Superintendent to work with County Government to identify a suitable northeast site for the project.
I appreciate our partnerships with the County Executive and County Council and look forward to our continued collaboration on the capital improvement plan. Baltimore County has provided record funding for school construction in recent years allowing us to make incredible progress on new and renovated schools countywide.
