Boys and Girls High School Soccer Playoffs Begin Today

Today the MPSSAA soccer playoffs begin for boys and girls teams all over the state and in Eastern Baltimore County. Some teams start today and other teams have byes and start over the weekend. Here is a look at each team’s journey.

4A Girls
Perry Hall Girls Soccer defeated Catonsville 2-0 on Monday to win the Baltimore County Championship. The Gators now enter the 4A North I Regional Playoffs as the top seed.
The playoffs start today but Perry Hall receives a bye.
Dundalk hosts Parkville today at 4. The winner will play at Perry Hall on Friday.
Kenwood is also in the 4A North. They are seeded third and host Dulaney today at 4.

3A Girls

Patapsco is the only local school in the 3A North I Region. They have a bye and will host the winner of Edgewood/ Milford Mill in the second round.

2A Girls

The 2A North I Region is loaded with local schools. Sparrows Point is the second seed and Eastern Tech is third seeded. They both have byes and will meet in the regional semifinals at Sparrows Point.
Chesapeake is the fourth seed and hosts Dunbar today. If they win, the Bayhawks would play at top seeded Fallston in the second round.


4A Boys
Kenwood is the top seed in the 4A North I Region. Parkville is right behind them at number two. Both teams receive first round byes.
Dundalk is fifth and starts the playoffs at fourth seeded Woodlawn. Perry Hall is sixth and plays at Dulaney. Kenwood hosts Dundalk-Woodlawn winner in the second round and Parkville hosts Perry Hall-Dulaney winner.

3A Boys
Patapsco is ranked fifth and plays at fourth seeded Milford Mill in the 3A North I Region

2A Boys
Sparrows Point is seeded fourth and opens the playoffs against fifth seed Chesapeake at home today at 4 p.m. The winner plays at Forest Park in the Regional Semifinals.
Eastern Tech hosts Dunbar today at 4. The winner plays at Fallston in the other 2A North II Regional Semifinals.
