Girls and Boys basketball playoffs begin on Friday

The MPSSAA boys and girls playoffs start on Friday. Some teams have bye and other start their seasons on Friday. Here is a  breakdown of all the teams

Girls

4A North Region I
First Round
Perry Hall is the top seed and gets a first round bye.

5 Parkville plays at 4 Kenwood  on Friday at 6 p.m. The winner plays at Perry Hall next week.

3 Dundalk plays 6 Woodlawn at home and the winner plays at the second seed Dulaney next week.

3A North Region I
Overlea is sixth seed and plays at 3 Milford Mill on Friday at 5 p.m. With a win, the Falcons would play at 2 Towson.

Patapsco is the fifth seed and would play at 4 Bel Air on Friday. The winner plays at Edgewood

2A North Region II
Eastern Tech is the two seed and Sparrows Point is the three seed. The Mavericks and Pointers each receive first round byes and will play each other next week at Eastern Tech.

Chesapeake declined an invitation to the playoff.

Boys
4A North Region I
First Round
5 Kenwood plays at 4 Dundalk on Friday at 4 p.m. The winner plays at top seeded Dulaney next week.

3 Parkville plays 6 Woodlawn at home. The winner plays at the second seed Perry Hall next week.

3A North Region I
Overlea is the top seed in this region. The Falcons will the winner between tomorrow’s Aberdeen-Towson winner.

Patapsco is the sixth seed and plays at Edgewood on Friday.

2A North Region II
Eastern Tech grabs the two seed in this region. The Mavericks receive a first round bye and will host the winner of 3 Forest Park and Carver A&T (Baltimore City).

Sparrows Point is the fifth seed and will play at 4 Carver Tech (Baltimore County). The winner will play at top seeded Dunbar High School next week.
