Officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the area of N. Marlyn Avenue and Essex Avenue in Essex, for a motor vehicle collision.
Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Crash Team determined on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at approximately 9:25 a.m. a 2011 Infiniti FX35 was traveling on Essex Avenue attempting to cross N. Marlyn Avenue when it struck an electric scooter traveling southbound on N. Marlyn Avenue.
The occupant of the scooter, 20-year-old Josiah E. Epps, was transported to a local area hospital and pronounced deceased on Aug. 4.
